This course includes a natal (birth chart) chart wheel for each student. For an additional $20 you can purchase three more chart wheels to study the charts of friends, partners, or family members, because we retain more of what we learn when the subject is relevant to us or our friends and family.
What we’ll cover in this 3-day certificate course:
- 12 zodiac signs, their underlying spiritual lessons and the character traits.
- The planets and their influences in a chart and throughout life.
- The 12 houses in a chart.
- How to read a chart. This part includes demonstrations including volunteers from the class.
- The importance of the ascendent, the descendent and the midheaven in a chart.
- The moon’s nodes and life purpose.
- Synastry charts – comparing the birth charts of friends, partners, parents and children and siblings.
- Health areas to watch, natural skills and talents and what you seek in a partner and those qualities you aim for in yourself.
This engaging course includes demonstrations, activities and examples from life to help cement the information covered in three days. Digital handouts are included to reduce the need for note taking, and Paul is available for private lessons if you want to dive deeper into any aspect of astrology.
Students are encouraged to form in-person or online groups to practise chart interpretations aloud for each other, to build skills and personal confidence with astrology. Past tarot students have begun a WhatsApp group for tarot reading, and they will be happy to swap readings for palmistry sessions or chart interpretations to build skills. This can be a bridge from being an enthusiast to becoming a professional reader.
Paul is a passionate and engaging speaker with 40 years of experience with studying and practising astrology. He is the author of an intro astrology book and a second astrology book focused on the moon’s nodes and life purpose.

Method. Via Zoom. For your chart, Paul will require your full name, your date and time of birth and your birth location. If you were born in a village or a small town, please include the name of a large town or city nearby. Your birth time needs to be accurate to within 15 minutes for accuracy. If you don’t have an accurate time of birth, Paul will prepare a solar chart for you. These are usually set for a birth time of sunrise.
